Die Berufung von Hugo Fernandez hat ihn dazu veranlasst, sein eigenes Universum aufzubauen, das durch den Lauf der Zeit bereichert wird. Nach 12 Jahren in Spanien führt ihn die Gegenwart in die Stadt Berlin, wo er mit Künstlern aus dieser europäischen Kulturhauptstadt leben und zusammenarbeiten wird.
Sein Album „Cosmogram“ wurde vom Downbeat Magazine in Zusammenarbeit mit dem internationalen Schlagzeuger Antonio Sanchez als eines der besten Alben des Jahres 2015 ausgewählt.
Er trat am Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid auf, bei nationalen und internationalen Foren und Festivals wie dem Festival del Centro Histórico (Mexiko), Teatro de Ciudad de México und anderen,
Sein Debütalbum „Origenes“ führte ihn unter anderem zur Einleitung der Reihe „Por lo tanto Jazz“ im Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexiko-Stadt.
Im Oktober 2017 wurde er unter vielen hochwertigen Vorschlägen für die Teilnahme am Cervantino International Festival ausgewählt, bei dem er einige Songs aus seinem neuen Album „Naualli“ präsentierte.

Hugo Fernandez’s vocation has led him to build his own universe, which is enriched by the passage of time. After 12 years in Spain, the present takes him to the city of Berlin where he will live and collaborate with artists living in this European cultural capital.
